Terms of Business

1. Definitions
We, us Alpine Weekends;Weekends in Val d'Isere; and Suirf Breaks
You The person who is making the booking, including any person or persons on whose behalf a booking is made.
Supplier Any person or company supplying additional outside services, as a contractor to Us ,or direct to You.
In these terms words importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa and the masculine shall include the feminine where the context so admits. All paragraph headings are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning or construction of these terms.
2. What we do
We supply holiday packages to ski and surf and resorts, comprising travel, accommodation, and other services as specified on our invoices Clients travelling by air are fully protected by our ATOL bonding No. 4792.
3. Payment
You will make payment to us for the total price of whatever services you have asked us to book in your name in the amounts that we have informed you and by the dates notified. In the event that you have not paid by the due date then we will have the right (in addition to any other remedy) to treat the booking as having been cancelled by you as at the date when we write to you giving you notice of such cancellation. We will not supply tickets or accommodation or other vouchers to you until payment has been made in full.
If payment is made to us by credit card we reserve the right to add as a service charge whatever that we are charged by the credit card company on your booking and this will be clearly shown on your invoice.
4. Currency
We will do our best to hold the prices quoted to you for the services booked by us despite currency exchange movements but reserve the right to ask for payment of additional sums in sterling if that should be necessary to cover the cost of acquiring foreign currency and the remedies provided in clause 3 above for non-payment shall apply equally in the event of non-payment of any additional charge made by us.
5. Alterations and Cancellations by You
You can make alterations and cancellations at any time but only in writing signed by the person who originally made the booking. You will have to meet all the out -of-pocket expenses incurred by us in organising this alteration or cancellation. In any case in the event of cancellation:
Prior to 8 weeks before departure any deposit and any non -recoverable costs of travel tickets bought by us on your behalf shall be forfeited.
Within 8 weeks of departure, 50% of the holiday costs shall be due and payable to us
Within 4 weeks of departure, 70% of the holiday cost shall be due and payable to us
Within 2 weeks of departure, 100% of the holiday cost shall be due and payable to us. In the event of any Supplier having different or stricter conditions then the amount of any
reimbursement must re limited and subject to those stricter conditions.
6. Alteration and Cancellation bv Us
If we are forced to alter or cancel a holiday then we shall offer you the choice of
(i) an alternative holiday if available or
(ii) a full refund of sums paid by you in respect of the price of the whole holiday providing cancellation has taken place prior to the departure.
If the cancellation or alteration is due to factors beyond our control or if the changes are not substantial we will not pay compensation. Page 1 of 2.See reverse for continuation.

7. Refunds
We will not pay any refunds in respect of unused portions of travel tickets or unused accommodation unless we can ourselves obtain refunds, in which case all such refunds will be subject to a deduction in an amount which we consider to be reasonable to cover our expenses.
We shall not be obliged to take legal or other action to recover any refund
8. Marketing and Brochures
We take every effort to see that the information contained in what we publish is accurate but all the information given is based on our best knowledge at the time that we incorporate it into our holiday documentation. If you would like us to check a particular point then please would you request it in writing. We will always try to give accurate information and quotations to enquiries on the telephone but we can only accept responsibility for information confirmed by us in writing and signed by a duly authorised member of our staff.
9. Your Responsibilities
You will indemnify us for all losses and/or damage arising from any act or default on your part or the part of any member of your party. You will ensure that you have in your possession all necessary valid travel documents. In making a booking you agree to abide by the regulations and restrictions imposed by any Supplier as they might apply during your holiday and to accept their jurisdiction. We cannot be responsible if you are ejected from or refused entry to pre-booked accommodation or transport due to infringements of regulations, offensive or illegal behaviour or the contraction of an infectious or contagious disease or illness. We would also reserve the right to cancel forthwith our contract with you without any reimbursement in your favour in the event of you displaying unacceptable or illegal behaviour. You accept that you ski,surf or enjoy other sports at your own risk within the restrictions of the resort or other authorities. We do not have any responsibility for your actions or those restrictions.
10. Our Responsibilities
We are responsible for any injury or death, damage or loss if proven to be by our direct negligence but not for any other
accident, injury or death, loss or damage that might occur.
We try and find reputable Suppliers but we are not liable for any injury or death, loss or damage caused by them.
11. Insurance
It is a condition of every booking that you are covered by travel insurance to include skiing, surfing, or other activities as
appropriate. We can arrange insurance on your behalf with a reputable insurance company,, and we will supply you with policy
wording and a quotation on request.
12. Jurisdiction
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed by English law and the English Courts shall have exclusive
jurisdiction in respect of any claim or dispute arising out of or connected with them or any such contract. None of our
employees has any power to vary the conditions contained herein.
